Design Notes

The Mkono Mrefu Signature Denim Koti was designed through an exploration of proportion, restraint, and elongated structure.

Built with extended sleeves and a cropped body silhouette, the jacket shifts the balance of a traditional denim jacket by exaggerating the reach and movement of the arms while maintaining a clean structured body.

The curved chest paneling and hidden front closure were intentionally designed to reduce visual noise and allow the shape of the garment to speak first.

Finished with matte hardware running throughout the sleeves, tonal embroidered YKM branding across the back, and the Yussuf Kassim Manzi signature placed along the front closure.
